The Academy is a provider that offers accredited courses at a Tertiary level. It was established 6 years ago primarily to educate and provide training to those who wish to study in the field of visual arts. In the design of the Academy,
Dr. Richard V. Ufnalski emphasised the aspect of light in the creation of functional and friendly spaces, taking under consideration the needs of the aged and disabled persons.

The Academy is located in Crib Point near HMAS Naval Base CERBERUS and Hastings (Western Port). At the present time, the Academy consists of three main buildings on approximately one acre of land surrounded by the natural beauty of nature.
